 With a C-shape allowing for access to an approximate uniform magnetic volume Model 5301 Electromagnet, is made available for magnetic measurements and testing of linear arrays of sensors. By having a low field of 50mT (500G) and low power 22W, the Model 5301 requires only air cooling during normal operation.
The Bx component of the field is uniform to +/-2.5% 0.5mT (5G) in a planar, thin volume of 150 x 10 x 15mm (x, y, z) which is particularly appropriate for testing of linear arrays of sensor oriented in the Bx direction to the Electromagnet.
 The 5301 has an overdamped flux response to prevent exposure to fields aprroximately greater than 50mT (500G). The step settling time to +/-1% of a 1.0mT (10G) step change is <0.1 sec and the step settling time to +/-1% of a 10mT (100G) step change is <1 sec.
