The
Virginia ScientificFW101 flowing water
NMR teslameter uses pure, distilled water as the NMR sample.
This makes the FW101 the choice as an intrinsic standard
for magnetic field calibration measurements with an absolute
accuracy of better than 5ppm. It features a measurement
range from 1.4µT to 2.16T (14mG to 21.6kG) with
a single small probe enabling precision NMR measurement
to very low fields. Since the NMR probe measures the total
amplitude of the magnetic field vector (rather than a
single field component) the final reading is independent
of accurate orientation. For measurement stability, the
frequency source is a DDS with an oven controlled crystal
oscillator as a reference. The FW101 is delivered standard
with an RS-232-C interface, and an IEEE-488 interface
is available as an option.
