3460 Electromagnet System with Unipolar Field

Applications:

This Electromagnet System provides a unipolar field with manual or voltage programming of current. The Electromagnet has small size and low mass and can be readily mounted with any field direction. It is appropriate for laboratory or production-line measurements of magnetic separation, magneto-optic and other magnetic characteristics where a bipolar field is not required. Options are available for axial holes for light entry and exit. A bipolar power supply system is also offered.

Specifications
Pole gap	Variable from 0 to 34mm.
Pole Face Diameter	16mm or 37mm (reversible poles)
Operating Field	±1.5T at a pole gap of 10mm with ±35A true bipolar excitation. (Higher fields with smaller gaps.) Intermittant operation to 7A excitation for approximately 0.7T with a 20mm pole gap.
Field Uniformity	±0.5% over an 18mm diameter disc in the median plane.
Current Stability	0.02% over 8 hours.
Current Control Resolution	16 bit.
Field Readout Resolution	16 bit (0.1mT up to 0.6T field).
Computer Control	USB with Labview
Cooling	Water, 2l/min (0.5 US gpm). Air cooling up to approx excitation.
AC Power	230Vac, single phase, 50/60Hz, 9.5A, (@ 115V).
