This Electromagnet System achieves true bipolar field with computer control. It is particularly suitable for Hall effect studies, magneto-optic measurements and high temperature superconductor investigations, and when full loop measurements have to be made in much less than a second. Three different Pole face dimensions are available: 10mm face diameter for Pole gaps to about 10mm; 30mm face diameter for Pole gaps to about 30mm; 60mm face diameter for Pole gaps to the maximum of 60mm. With 10mm Pole face diameter and Pole gap of 10mm peak fields of ±2T are achieved with a 4T transition time of 0.1sec (40T/sec).
