Bartington Magnetic Susceptibility System, MS2/MS3
The Bartington MS2/MS3 Magnetic Susceptibility System is for high sensitivity measurements of sample susceptibility in environmental sciences, biology, archaeology, geology, exploration geophysics, and magnetorheological fluid applications. The MS2K sensor does allow extension to the measurement and magnetic susceptibility in low electrical conductivity materials such as stainless steel without magnetizing the sample. Sensors are available for measuring single sample vials of powders or liquids, or as scanners for measuring surfaces, films, or cores. A variable temperature option enables single sample susceptibility measurements from -200°C to +900°C
Other features of the MS3 are:
- Non-destructive measurements.
- Reading cycle time down to about 1 second.
- Continuous or triggered readings.
- SI or CGI units.
- USB PC interface.
- AC or battery powered for lab or field use.
The MS3 is recommended for new purchasers of laboratory based magnetic susceptibility systems. The MS3 system supports both MS3 and MS2 field probes.
