This Electromagnet System is suitable for applications requiring high fields and true bipolar operation, such as B-H loops, magnetic separation studies, magnetization of components, magneto-optical measurements, and superconducting material qualification. For continuous operation fields can be in excess of 3T with a 25mm pole gap or 2T with a 50mm pole gap. Intermittent operation to 170A is possible with higher power power supplies. This can be useful at higher gaps. Alternatively, the 3474 can be integrated with a very high performance Power Supply for spectrometry applications.
If system with field reversal is required, please go the the System with Field Reversal page.
Please download our Minimum Facilities Requirements paper for important information regarding system installation, site set-up and materials required.
