Bartington Magnetic Susceptibility Meter, MS2/MS3

The Bartington MS3 Magnetic Susceptibility Meter is for high sensitivity measurements of sample susceptibility in environmental sciences, biology, archaeology, geology, exploration geophysics, and magnetorheological fluid applications. The MS3 Meter operates with all MS2 Sensors with each suitable for a specific type of sample (single sample vials of powders or liquids, surface measurements, thin-films, or cores). For measurement of electrically conductive materials, the MS2K sensor does allow measurement of magnetic susceptibility without being impacted by eddy currents within the sample.

Reading cycle time down to about 0.1 second.
Continuous or triggered readings.
SI or CGI units.
USB PC interface.
USB powered for field use

The MS3 is recommended for new purchasers of laboratory based magnetic susceptibility systems. The MS3 system supports both MS3 and MS2 field probes.
