PEM CWT Mini50HF/CWT Mini AC Current Probe
The PEM AC Current Probes utilize a Rogowski Coil and Matched Analog Integrator to provide accurate non-contact, measurement of AC currents over a very broad frequency range. These flexible “clip-around” Current Probes have very low insertion impedance compared to Current Transformers, (CT), or Hall Current Transducers, are easy to insert in confined spaces and are not damaged by over-current surges. They can be used for measuring ac, pulse or transient current waveforms. Since the PEM Current Probes have no magnetic core they can be used to measure ac current on a conductor with high dc current or in the presence of a high dc magnetic field.
The CWT range is ideal for power electronic applications, such as monitoring semiconductor switching waveforms or for measurements in electrically noisy environments. The easy-to-use thin, flexible, clip-around coil accurately replicates fast switching current waveforms be they sinusoidal, quasi sinusoidal or pulsed.
CWT Mini50HF
The CWTMini50HF offers a 50MHz (-3dB) bandwidth utilising a novel shielded clip-around coil of 100mm circumference and 3.5mm cross section diameter. The shield improves the performance of the current measurement in a circuit where the coil is exposed to fast dV/dt transients; e.g. when measuring rapid current transients in a semiconductor device with a high blocking voltage.
The CWTMini50HF is a wide-band AC current probe with a fixed 0.5m BNC output to connect to most types of oscilloscope or data acquisition devices.
CWT Mini
The CWTMini has a small clip around coil and wide bandwidth making it useful in applications as diverse as power frequency and harmonic current analysis to measuring long duration pulses. The small coil is offered in two insulation voltages 2kV peak, 3.5mm cross section diameter and 5kV peak, 4.5mm.
